5 out of 5 stars Best Deal around for Blu-Ray BR-25   August 15, 2010

These were the lowest priced media out there but are well made and defective free from my experience.

1 out of 5 stars Simply bad...   August 10, 2010
Missing Piece
Got these discs for backing up the data on my computer. The price was really low compared to other brads, and that is why I got them in the first place. BUT... ALL (and I mean, ALL, since I tried them all) the discs were NOT recordable. Every single time, I got the message saying there was an error with the disc. I must urge anybody who's looking into buying this NOT to buy this!!!

1 out of 5 stars Completely Worthless   August 6, 2010

I have had problems with Memorex media in the past, so when I saw their 15-pack 25GB BD-R media being sold for a low price, I convinced myself that maybe their quality htad improved. If anything, it has degraded further than the last time I tried their products. I did not think this was possible. Instead of a high failure rate with these BD-R, I am seeing a 100 percent failure rate.

The disc always allows enough writing to destroy it, but never completes or closes out the disc. It will either hang the computer or end with an error message about disc quality. Most of the time, it hangs the computer so badly that only a hard reset will allow one to escape.

I would only encourage people who have excess cash and get enjoyment from watching greenbacks sail away in the wind to buy these discs. My son always says, "you get what you pay for." In other words, if you spend less than normal for an item, expect below normal quality. With Memorex, I would advise that you get "less than you pay for." There should be a zero-egg rating.

This maybe because of ripping or burning program. Even the blu-ray player can effect playability (cheaper ones don't always play burnt copies).

2 out of 5 stars Try something else   July 9, 2010

These have worked for me about a third of the time. I have tried to transfer HD video to one of these discs only to have it fail at the end, rendering the disc useless. I then performed the exact same function on a disc from a different manufactuer (Ridata or Optical Quantum) and the transfer executed flawlessly. Other brands may cost slightly more, but it's better than wasting your money on this one.
